Dr. Evelyn Bent-Rattray (MSW, RSW, PhD) is a highly skilled and experienced clinical social worker and psychotherapist specializing in marriage and family therapy. Many years of practice impressed upon her that her clients’ problems involve more than just mental health. Treatment methods typically address the mental, social, and physical aspects of clients’ health, but her experience has led her to conclude that spirituality—whether anchored in a religion, or derived from a more basic search for meaning or purpose—is of equal importance. She believes that therapy should be motivated by an understanding and appreciation of what matters to clients.
