About Heartwood Midwifery

Heartwood Midwifery is here to guide you as you explore the path your pregnancy, birth, and transition to parenthood to take you. Midwifery is a specialized maternity practice that focuses on the care and delivery of normal, low-risk pregnancies. As primary providers you will see us for routine prenatal, delivery and postpartum care instead of your family doctor. However, there may be instances where visits to your family doctor may be recommended in addition to routine care with us. We work closely with the other members of the medical community to ensure safe and holistic care for your growing family. We will see you regularly from conception through labour and delivery and until 6 weeks postpartum.
